Once you’ve found the specific order you need, look for the Order Details or View Order Details link. Clicking on this will take you to a summary of that purchase. On this page, you will see an option labeled View Invoice or Print Invoice. Clicking this will open a printer-friendly version of your receipt. What’s the Difference Between an Invoice and a Packing Slip?
It’s helpful to know the difference between these two documents. The invoice is the official receipt that shows the final price you paid, including all taxes and any promotional discounts. This is the document you’ll want for expense reports or tax records. A packing slip, which is often included in the box, usually just lists the items shipped and may not show the final price. For a true receipt, always select the invoice option.
A Note About Digital Items and Gift Orders
If you purchased a digital item like an e-book or MP3, an invoice is still available in your order history. For gifts you’ve sent to others, you can also access and print the invoice from your orders, which is perfect if the recipient needs a copy for a return. The process is identical, ensuring you have a record of all your transactions.
